Soccer Recap: Hernando Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Hernando finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Tupelo Golden Wave by a score of 2-1. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Rosa Ibarra, who's now up to nine this season.

With the defeat, Hernando broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4-1. As for Tupelo, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Hernando will venture away from home to take on Lewisburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hernando is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season. As for Tupelo, they will welcome Amory at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
