Soccer Game Preview: Socastee vs. St. James

The Socastee Braves will venture away from home to face off against the St. James Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Socastee's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Socastee didn't have quite enough to beat Conway and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that Socastee have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, St. James waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Chiefs a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for St. James, who have now won three games by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit North Myrtle Beach with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mason Divirgilio (2), Hampton Mitchell, and Jameson Crawford.

St. James' victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Socastee, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.
