New Hope had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Corinth Warriors a 1-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.

New Hope pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matches. As for Corinth, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 14-4 record.

New Hope will welcome Pontotoc at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Corinth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ripley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Corinth is facing Ripley at the right time seeing as Ripley is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
