Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weimar). They snuck past the Edna Cowboys with an 86-81 victory on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Weimar's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Edna, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weimar and Seguin will face off at 3:20 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Weimar has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Edna, they will be playing at home against Rice Consolidated at 1:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Edna is facing Rice Consolidated at the right time seeing as Rice Consolidated is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
