Soccer Game Preview: Covenant Classical Community vs. Bethel Christian

The Covenant Classical Community Lions will square off against Bethel Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Covenant Classical Community is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to TEACH Homeschool. That's two games in a row now that Covenant Classical Community have lost by exactly two goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Carson Marr, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Bethel Christian fell victim to Rock Church and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Lions. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bethel Christian came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Rock Church is ranked 356th).

Bethel Christian's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-5. As for Covenant Classical Community, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
