Basketball Recap: Gateway Has No Trouble Against Liberty

After losing to Liberty the last time they met, Gateway decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gateway Panthers took down the Liberty Chargers 68-51 on Monday.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ixion Toro, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Tasir Best was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 boards.

The win got Gateway back to even at 7-7. As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-3.

Gateway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 42-39 loss against St. Cloud on the 15th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-48 victory against Celebration on the 15th.
