Baseball Recap: Cesar Chavez Comes Up Short

Cesar Chavez lost against Apollo back in April of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Champions fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-1.

Cesar Chavez saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zade Munoz, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Cesar Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Apollo, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cesar Chavez will head out to square off against Camelback at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Apollo, they will venture away from home to challenge Boulder Creek at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
