Recap: Manassas Park Cougars vs. Osbourn Eagles
The Manassas Park Cougars lost against the Osbourn Eagles back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Manassas Park suffered a rough 49-28 loss at the hands of Osbourn. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Manassas Park in their matchups with Osbourn: they've now lost six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Osbourn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Irieanna Smoot, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Smoot has scored at least 25% of Osbourn's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhyannon Stanley, who scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds.
Manassas Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Osbourn, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manassas Park will take on Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Osbourn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Unity Reed at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
