Soccer Game Preview: Lakeside vs. O'Dea

The Lakeside Lions will square off against the O'Dea Fighting Irish at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside will be strutting in after a victory while O'Dea will be coming in after a loss.

Lakeside took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Bishop Blanchet 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given Lakeside's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Bishop Blanchet are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for O'Dea's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln on Tuesday. O'Dea haven't had much luck with Lincoln recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

O'Dea's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Lakeside, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.

Lakeside skirted past O'Dea 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Irish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
