Baseball Recap: Laurel Takes a Loss

Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to the East Central Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for East Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

While Laurel had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
