Heartland Christian and East Palestine are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Lions will take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heartland Christian hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

It was a proper cat-fight when Heartland Christian challenged Edison on Wednesday. The Lions came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-0.

Heartland Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Bender, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, East Palestine came up short against Struthers on Wednesday and fell 9-6.

East Palestine's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Heartland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything went Heartland Christian's way against East Palestine in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Heartland Christian made off with a 12-2 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
