Basketball Recap: Pike Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Solomon on Friday, Pike Valley came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 37-26 to the Lincoln Leopards on Saturday. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Pike Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kylie Loring posted 20 points. Loring also set a new season-high mark in three-point shooting accuracy with 60%.

Pike Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lincoln, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pike Valley will take on Wakefield in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln will take on Sylvan-Lucas in a holiday battle on Tuesday.
