Football Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Stone Ridge Christian

Stone Ridge Christian extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 9-1. They walked away with a 24-13 victory over the San Rafael Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stone Ridge Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daijon Oneil, who rushed for 131 yards and two TDs. Another back making a difference was Tj Mathews, who gained 147 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stone Ridge Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

As for San Rafael, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The game marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although San Rafael took the loss, they still got scores from Jameson Fondnazio and Will Healy.

Stone Ridge Christian and San Rafael are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Knights will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Linden at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for San Rafael, they will challenge Terra Linda at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.44 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
