Basketball Recap: Homeschool Resource Center Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

HomeSchool Resource Center had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 53-43 victory over the Lapeer Lakers Homeschool Lakers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead HomeSchool Resource Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Lueiro, who posted 25 points and three steals. The matchup was Lueiro's third in a row with at least 22 points. Another player making a difference was Noel Green, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

Despite the loss, Lapeer Lakers Homeschool saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cannon Dodson shot 64% from beyond the arc to rack up 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Hayse, who earned seven points and seven rebounds.

HomeSchool Resource Center's win bumped their record up to 29-17. As for Lapeer Lakers Homeschool, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-16.

Coming up, HomeSchool Resource Center will challenge Crossroads Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the CRU's rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.68 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lapeer Lakers Homeschool, they will take on Washtenaw Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
