Volleyball Recap: North Pemiscot Comes Up Short

North Pemiscot was the 3-0 winner over Risco when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Saturday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Despite the loss, North Pemiscot still got an impressive performance from Cheyanne Sawyer, who had seven digs and two aces. Sawyer is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

North Pemiscot's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5-2. As for Risco, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-2 record this season.

North Pemiscot has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against New Madrid County Central on the 29th. As for Risco, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East Prairie on the 29th.
