Football Recap: Denver East Comes Up Short

Denver East fell victim to Northfield and their airtight defense on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Nighthawks. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Angels were not able to get on the board.

Denver East's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northfield, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Denver East is set to take on their familiar foe Denver South at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northfield will square off against rival Vista PEAK Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Nighthawks 2.4, the Bison 10.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
