Softball Game Preview: Steele Canyon Cougars vs. Escondido Charter Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Steele Canyon Cougars face off against Escondido Charter Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Steele Canyon's tournament run continued when they took on Mt. Carmel on Monday. Steele Canyon took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Carmel. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steele Canyon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marina Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Escondido Charter was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell just short of Del Norte by a score of 3-2.

Steele Canyon now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Escondido Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
