After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Paul, New London was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Mapleton Mounties 3-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Mounties recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

New London was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-20.

Leading New London to victory were Hailie Pylant and Ava Ringler. Pylant had 11 digs and three aces, while Ringler had 12 digs and six assists. That's the most aces Pylant has posted over her last nine contests.

Mapleton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Beattie, who had 11 digs and three aces. Beattie is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

New London now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Mapleton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, New London will head out to challenge Keystone at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mapleton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Paul at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
