The Conestoga Christian Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the La Academia Charter Leones at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Conestoga Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Conestoga Christian might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-3 to Christian School of York, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clark Brubacher put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Sawyer Barnett was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, La Academia Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 23-4 to Steelton-Highspire.

Conestoga Christian's record now sits at 5-4. As for La Academia Charter, their record is now 0-6.

Conestoga Christian took their win against La Academia Charter in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Leones have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
