Northmont lost against Centerville back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunderbolts came up short against the Elks, falling 3-0. The Thunderbolts' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Northmont was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 25-15.

Jadyn Johnson paced Northmont's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Brianna Abels and her 19 assists. Abels was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Centerville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hadley Heil, who had 11 digs and eight assists. Those eight assists gave Heil a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kelly Horky, who had 20 assists and five digs.

Northmont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Centerville, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Northmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Sidney on the 22nd. As for Centerville, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Dublin Scioto on the 20th.
