Softball Recap: Minerva Gets the Win

Minerva came out on top against Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Saints. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Jordyn Bargides was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Minerva's record now sits at 8-14. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, they moved to 6-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Minerva beat the Saints by a score of 12-0 later that day.
