            Baseball Recap: Lawrence Academy Spartans vs. Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Lawrence Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   6-3  victory over the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 John Paone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Will Broderick, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Daven Allard, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI.

Lawrence Academy's win was  their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-1. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-1 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence Academy will face off against St. Sebastian's School at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Arrows' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, they will square off against Milton Academy at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
