Central's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Sheridan Broncs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since September 6th.

Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 18-28, 25-17, 25-22, 15-9.

Shayne Spencer paced Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Spencer got some help from Chaney Birt and her 16 assists. Breck Custis controlled things from the service line, finishing with 11 aces.

Despite the loss, Sheridan still got an impressive performance from Allyson Roe, who had 17 digs and five aces. Roe has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Sheridan, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against East on the 15th. As for Sheridan, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Laramie on the 17th.
