Baseball Game Preview: Prep Charter Huskies vs. West Philadelphia Speedboys

The Prep Charter Huskies will face off against the West Philadelphia Speedboys at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. Prep Charter will be strutting in after a victory while West Philadelphia will be coming in after a loss.

Prep Charter is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Science Leadership Academy at Beeber 20-2 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, West Philadelphia suffered their biggest defeat since April 8, 2024 last Monday. They came up short against Abraham Lincoln, falling 13-3. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Speedboys' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

West Philadelphia's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2. As for Prep Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Prep Charter took their win against West Philadelphia in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 17-2 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Speedboys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
