Softball Recap: Colfax Triumphs

While Colfax's victory against Durand-Arkansaw wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings skirted past the Panthers 3-2. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Laikyn Beyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brynn Sikora, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles.

Colfax's record is now 17-4. As for Durand-Arkansaw, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Colfax will square off against Shell Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Durand-Arkansaw, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bloomer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
