Basketball Recap: Big Horn Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If Burns wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Big Horn, they should've done a better job of containing Bridger Doke. The Big Horn Rams were the clear victor by a 69-45 margin over the Burns Broncs on Saturday thanks in part to Doke, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Burns' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Ochsner, who posted eight points. Mason Medley was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Big Horn is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Burns, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Big Horn will venture away from home to face off against Tongue River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Big Horn is facing Tongue River at the right time seeing as Tongue River is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Burns, they will square off against Torrington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
