Basketball Recap: Winfield Find Success

Clopton typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Winfield proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 58-54 W over the Clopton Hawks. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Hawks last Saturday, they had to take a 73-48 loss.

Winfield has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Clopton, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

Winfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-43 loss against Bowling Green on the 1st. As for Clopton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-49 victory against Van-Far on the 1st.
