Baseball Recap: Midlothian Heritage's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Midlothian Heritage came tearing into Friday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Kaufman Lions 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Midlothian Heritage got a great performance from Gavin Railsback as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Railsback has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bailey Huber, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Abila, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Midlothian Heritage's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Kaufman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-16-1.
