Soccer Game Preview: Colton vs. Bloomington

The Colton Yellowjackets will square off against the Bloomington Bruins at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Colton fell victim to Summit and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They fell just short of the SkyHawks by a score of 1-0. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bloomington, on the other hand, haven't lost since December 18, 2024 and they too continued that trend. They and Rialto finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday. The Bruins had to tread lightly for part of the game as George Moreno and Isaac Sandoval were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Bloomington's draw makes their record 5-4-3 this season. As for Colton, they now have a losing record at 5-6-4.

Colton was able to grind out a solid win over Bloomington in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 3-1. Will Colton repeat their success, or does Bloomington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
