Basketball Recap: Martinsburg Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Martinsburg won the last time they faced Jefferson and things went their way on Monday too. The Martinsburg Bulldogs came out on top against the Jefferson Cougars by a score of 45-35.

Martinsburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addyson Strovel, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Strovel is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Wymer, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Martinsburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 18 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Martinsburg pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jefferson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

As for Jefferson, they will head out on the road to square off against Hedgesville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson is facing Hedgesville at the right time seeing as Hedgesville is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
