Preview: Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties vs. Scituate Spartans
Mount St. Charles Academy and Scituate are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties will be playing at home against the Scituate Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Mount St. Charles Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Scituate has been banged up by 13 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Mount St. Charles Academy didn't have too much trouble with Exeter-West Greenwich at home as they won 56-39.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-36, which was the final score in Scituate's tilt against Smithfield on Sunday.
Despite their defeat, Scituate saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ryan Larsh, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.
Mount St. Charles Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Scituate, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.
Mount St. Charles Academy beat Scituate 44-35 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Does Mount St. Charles Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Scituate turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
