Softball Game Preview: Sigourney Savages vs. Keota Eagles

Sigourney is a perfect 10-0 against Keota since June of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Savages will take on the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Sigourney's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Keota's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Sigourney beat Colfax-Mingo 7-3. The win continues a trend for the Savages in their matchups with the Tigerhawks: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Keota hadn't done well against Iowa Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 9-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Sigourney's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Keota, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Sigourney's way against Keota when the teams last played back in June of 2024, as Sigourney made off with a 17-0 win. Will the Savages repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
