Prairie View had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They beat the Northglenn Norsemen by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. Considering the Thunderhawks have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Preston Miller was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those doubles were his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Giovanni Tarin, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Noah Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Prairie View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Prairie View pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Northglenn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Prairie View and Northglenn will both be playing Riverdale Ridge the next time they take the field. The Norsemen will host the Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Thunderhawks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
