Volleyball Recap: St. Cecilia Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

St. Cecilia waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Superior Wildcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Cecilia took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Payton Sullivan and Nathie Krikac, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Kathryn Vanskiver and her 18 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

St. Cecilia's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Superior, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Looking ahead, St. Cecilia will take on Wood River in a tournament on Thursday. As for Superior, they will challenge H&H at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
