Volleyball Game Preview: Andover Huskies vs. Elk River Elks

After both having extra time off, the Andover Huskies and the Elk River Elks will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Andover is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Minnesota's top teams: Maple Grove, who was ranked fourth at the time (Andover was ranked second). The Huskies lost 3-0 to the Crimson on Wednesday.

Andover was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Elk River made easy work of Robbinsdale Armstrong two weeks ago and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Elk River won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.

Andover's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. As for Elk River, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
