Ryan Wellwerts put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Thursday. He struck out four batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Lowell is 2-0-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-9 otherwise.

Coming up, Wellwerts and Lowell will take on Kankakee Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
