Football Game Preview: Huron Tigers vs. Brookings Bobcats

Huron is 2-8 against Brookings since October of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tigers will head out to take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Huron is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Huron barely beat Mitchell the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Kernels 27-3 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brookings, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past Douglas to the tune of 59-8 on Friday. The Bobcats have beaten the Patriots the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.

The victory got Brookings back to even at 4-4. As for Huron, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Huron might still be hurting after the 40-14 loss they got from Brookings in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
