The Johnsonville Flashes will venture away from home to challenge the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Johnsonville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let St. John's get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Flashes have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Claire Cook was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Blair Coker was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Mallory Prosser was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Johnsonville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. John's only posted an OBP of .111.
The home team had won the previous two meetings between Hannah-Pamplico and Johnsonville, and Hannah-Pamplico kept the tradition alive. The Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Flashes on Thursday, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since May 15, 2024.
Kadence Poston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Hannah-Pamplico got a big performance out of Chloe Cooper, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Payten Poston, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Hannah-Pamplico pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Johnsonville, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Johnsonville couldn't quite finish off Hannah-Pamplico when the teams last played on Thursday and fell 6-4. Can the Flashes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
