Softball Recap: Colton Vikings vs. Perrydale Pirates
Colton extended their losing streak to 14 on Monday, dropping them down to 2-19. They lost 27-3 to the Perrydale Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-3 loss on Monday.
Katelynn Kimsey made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
As for Perrydale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games.
On Perrydale's side, Isabelle Arthur made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Arthur has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBI.
As of now, neither Colton nor Perrydale have any future games scheduled.
