Football Game Preview: Taholah Chitwhins vs. Oakville Acorns

The Taholah Chitwhins are taking a road trip to square off against the Oakville Acorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Taholah is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Taholah is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against North Beach on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Chitwhins lost 52-28 to the Hyaks. The Chitwhins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-8.

Meanwhile, Oakville faced Wahkiakum in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Acorns were beaten by the Mules 62-6. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Acorns couldn't push the score so high this time.

Oakville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Taholah, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Taholah couldn't quite finish off Oakville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 32-30. Can the Chitwhins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
