Independence dropped their record down to 17-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They lost 16-0 to the King City Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the 76ers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for King City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

For King City's part, not much got past Alizah Carrillo, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Independence off the board.

At the plate, Janesa Lopez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Jocelyn Romero was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Independence nor King City have any future games scheduled.
