Volleyball Recap: Tri-Valley Gets the Win

Tri-Valley won the last time they faced Heyworth and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hornets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.

Presley Shanahan paced Tri-Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Shanahan got some help from Lea Filarski and her ten assists. Annabelle Bischoff and Kinley Morris kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Despite the loss, Heyworth still got an impressive performance from Lyla Tate, who had eight kills and three digs. Tate is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Heyworth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-7 record this season.

Tri-Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Herscher on the 10th. As for Heyworth, they will be playing at home against Central A & M at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
