Volleyball Recap: Ari Catalfamo and Grace Coppolino Secure Win for Wachusett Regional

Wachusett Regional entered their tilt with Nashoba Regional on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wolves 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

One reason for the win was Wachusett Regional's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-13.

Wachusett Regional was led to victory by Grace Coppolino and Ari Catalfamo. Coppolino had seven digs and two aces, while Catalfamo had eight digs and three aces. Coppolino has been hot, having also posted 15 or more assists the last five times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Wachusett Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nashoba Regional only served nine.

Wachusett Regional's record now sits at 13-4. As for Nashoba Regional, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Wachusett Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Concord-Carlisle on the 20th. As for Nashoba Regional, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Grafton on the 20th.
