Basketball Recap: Smith Academy Fighting 54th vs. Tri-Township Tigers
Smith Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 47-39 loss to the Tri-Township Tigers.

Despite the defeat, Smith Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Judah Smith almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine rebounds. Smith also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 58%.
