Lewis & Clark recap Oct. 30, 2012
Marceline's Blake Belzer recorded the longest rushing play in Lewis & Clark this season in his game against Slater last week. Belzer's team defeated the Wildcats as he sprinted for 93 yards on the play and finished with 235 in all.
Marceline extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Slater, 48-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Zane Jacoby put up the best numbers through the air as Westran beat North Shelby. He finished with a total of three completions for 101 yards and one touchdown. Jacoby's favorite target this week was Devin Perkins, who caught one pass for 60 yards.
Austin Moudy was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tigers topped Chris Ferri's team. Moudy racked up one reception for 62 yards. Brett McGlothlin helped Marceline's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
Westran's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jacoby has thrown for 1094 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Perkins has 15 catches for 505 yards. Jacoby also leads the league in rushing with 1639 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Salisbury takes on Marceline. The Panthers are currently in second, while the Tigers are in third.
