Recap: Mayer Wildcats vs. Seligman Antelopes
The Mayer Wildcats waltzed into Thursday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. Everything went their way against Seligman as Mayer made off with a 49-24 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mayer also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Danni McCann, who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 steals. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jenisie Robertson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Mayer has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season. As for Seligman, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Mayer will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Rock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Rock is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Seligman, they will head out on the road to face off against Rock Point at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Rock Point presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Seligman in Arizona (Rock Point is ranked 134th, while Seligman is ranked 278th).
