Baseball Recap: Sumner Has No Trouble Against Lennard

Sumner came out on top against Lennard on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Stingrays blew past the Longhorns 10-0. For the Stingrays, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Longhorns walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

ETHAN DEJESUS tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.

Sumner was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2025.

Sumner now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lennard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Sumner will host Armwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lennard, they will venture away from home to square off against Chamberlain at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
