Soccer Recap: Stall Takes a Loss

Stall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the James Island Trojans, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Stall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 108th, while James Island are ranked 21st).

Stall's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for James Island, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stall will host Summerville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stall will be up against Summerville's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.7 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for James Island, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Ashley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (James Island have won three straight at home, while West Ashley won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
