Baseball Game Preview: Mount Desert Island Trojans vs. Brewer Witches

Mount Desert Island hasn't had much luck against Brewer recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against the Witches at 4:30 p.m. Brewer took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mount Desert Island, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Mount Desert Island needed a bit of extra time to put away Old Town. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Coyotes, sneaking past 3-2. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Coyotes on their field since April 26, 2022.

The team relied heavily on Colin Sullivan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Brewer's offense. They fell 3-0 to Edward Little on Wednesday. The Witches have struggled against the Red Eddies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Mount Desert Island's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7. As for Brewer, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
