Softball Recap: St. Petersburg Comes Up Short

St. Petersburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Seminole Warhawks, falling 18-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Green Devils were not able to get on the board.

St. Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Seminole, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, St. Petersburg is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tarpon Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.38 runs per game on average), something St. Petersburg will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Seminole, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Largo at 7:00 p.m. Seminole will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
